Hard water stains

Hard Water Stain Removal

Hard water stains are caused by minerals like calcium and magnesium found in your water. When windows or shower doors get wet, the water evaporates but leaves mineral deposits behind. Over time, these deposits build up and become more and more visible. They first appear as droplets on your glass. Then, over time, they become more and more pronounced. The spots build up and soon make the glass hazy and ugly. Left unchecked, these deposits become hard and thick. Sprinklers and shower heads leave hard water spots to form on glass. Chemically, these stains can be removed with acid “cleaners”, but using an acid to remove them can lead to damaging the surrounding surfaces adjacent to or even the glass itself! Caustic chemical solutions, like hydrochloric acid, degrade glass. These are found in common household cleaners. Try to clean using them and using your common blue or green abrasive scrubbing pad and you have now not only acid etches but fine scratches in your once perfect shower glass! Our method of hard water stain removal is acid free and safe on all surfaces.
